Only a few days into its release, Marvel's newest flick, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, has set a record the studio will have hardly desired. Ant-Man 3 has garnered a meager 47% rating on the Tomatometer, to tie the 2021 MCU film, Eternals.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is, however, performing better with audiences. The film grossed over $225 million at the box office during its opening weekend, which shows wide acceptance. Also, the film has garnered an 84% rating from over 5,000 verified reviewers. While the film's critics' rating is tied with that of Eternals, its audience rating is much better as Eternals only managed a 77% audience score from over 10,000 verified audience members.

Since Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania only recently premiered, there is a chance that its critic ratings can improve as more add their voices to the mix and provide their own ratings in the coming days. Besides, the film's audience acceptance bodes well, as it suggests many people truly enjoyed it. However, the reverse could also be the case as new critics could review it negatively thereby further tanking its ratings.
