Nintendo has announced that the Sanrio Collaboration Pack of Amiibo cards will be exclusively available at Target on March 26, 2021. This would be the first time that the Sanrio Amiibo cards will be available in the United States. The card pack will introduce six new Sanrio-themed characters into the game. These cards were previously available in other regions back in November 2016.
What Is The Sanrio Collaboration Pack?
The Sanrio Collaboration Pack is a reprint of six different Amiibo cards inspired by a selection of Sanrio characters – namely Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, and Kerokerokeroppi. These character designs will be used by Rilla, Chelsea, Etoile, Marty, Chai, and Toby, respectively, in-game. Players will receive these residents into their towns after they have scanned the cards. The cards will also allow players to order themed items from the store, in order to decorate both their own homes and the town.
The Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack for Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes all 6 of the Sanrio Amiibo cards and will be released in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and other territories.
For the United States, as stated earlier, the pack will be exclusively sold by Target for the price of USD$5.99. Pre-order is not yet live as of this writing. In Canada, the cards will be sold at Best Buy and Amazon for CAD$6.99. Best Buy’s pre-order is currently sold out, meanwhile, Amazon Canada has not yet made the pack available for pre-order. Note that Best Buy will not carry the cards in their physical stores as they will only be available to order online.
For Europe, there is no exact date, but Nintendo of Europe slated the cards to be available in the region “Late March. FNAC in France has the collection up for pre-order it can be imported.
In Australia, every single store carrying the cards is now sold out in pre-order. EB Games Australia, The Gamesmen, and Amazon Australia have this collection for AUD$9.99.
For those who choose to import from Japan, be aware that the contents of that package are substantially different from the reprint available in the mentioned territories. The Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack for Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes all 6 of the cards. On the other hand, the Amiibo cards sold in Japan come with 2 random cards and not the complete set of 6.
