We've got good news for those who liked 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - Andor has a release date.
Three years after Disney confirmed in 2019 that Diego Luna was reprising his role from the Star Wars prequel, Lucasfilm announced when the Cassian Andor-led spin-off will hit Disney+ and it's pretty soon.
A trailer at this year's Star Wars Celebration announced that Andor will drop on August 31, which makes it the next Star Wars show that fans can look forward to after Obi-Wan Kenobi ends on June 22.
Cassian Andor was immediately a fan favorite after appearing in Rogue One.
A Rebel Alliance spy, Cassian was instrumental in stealing the Death Star plans. Although Andor and his group of unlikely heroes ultimately met their demise at the Battle of Scarif, their efforts were key to the destruction of the Death Star in 1977's original Star Wars film. Canonically, Rogue One is the first live-action prequel to the entire Star Wars franchise, and the show is going to be set even further back.
