If a trusted industry insider is to be believed, then real-time strategy fans can expect to receive some long-overdue Age of Empires 4 News soon.

A trusted industry figure believes that Microsoft will talk more about the upcoming title at one of their events scheduled for April. The said event is likely to be Microsoft's only games showcase between now and E3 2021 later in June. This is especially since Microsoft brought in Relic Entertainment (Company of Heroes) to develop the game with it being exclusive to the Windows 10 platform.

Unfortunately, outside of its existence, Microsoft hasn't really talked much about the game.

The last Age of Empires 4 news we got was back at the end of 2020. It wasn't much too. But, then again, it does mean that we can safely assume that Age of Empires 4 is still in the works. Besides, fans haven't exactly been left wanting more Age of Empires.

Over the past few years, Microsoft has released definitive editions of the first three Age of Empires games.

With the Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition already out, it's safe to say that Microsoft will have a bit more time to dedicate to put a bit more spotlight on the latest game in the highly revered Age of Empires franchise.
