A Quiet Place hit theaters back in 2018. The film, which was written by John Krasinksi and starred himself as well as his real-life wife, Emily Blunt, was filmed on a measly $17 million budget. It went viral and made $350 million at the global box office. The sequel, which was released earlier this year, wasn't able to top that amount. However, it still grossed nearly $300 million on an estimated $55 million budget.
The ending of A Quiet Place II left it open for a sequel, but in the meantime, fans will have to do make do with a spin-off that's set to release on March 31, 2023, as well as a video game based on the two-film sci-fi horror series.
What is the A Quiet Place video game going to be about?
For those unfamiliar with the A Quiet Place movies, the setting is a post-apocalyptic Earth where blind but incredibly powerful alien creatures have conquered pretty much every continent. These monsters, which are highly sensitive to sound, have effectively put a stop to modern civilization as we know it. To survive, the remaining humans have had no choice but to live in complete silence and learn how to use other forms of communication.
