There have been plenty of actors rumored to be attached to the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Now, one actor has finally spoken up about his rumored involvement in the project.
Jack Quaid, best known for his role in the hit TV show, The Boys, isn’t going to be part of the upcoming MCU movie. It’s been rumored that the MCU had cast Quaid as Johnny Storm, better known as the Human Torch, in the Fantastic Four remake.
“Hello everyone. Nope. Not playing Johnny Storm but hey I’m flattered,” Quaid tweeted in response to the casting rumors. “Now that you’re here though, donate to the @sagaftra foundation if you can!”

The tweet includes a link to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation which helps support Hollywood actors amid the ongoing strike. Several high-profile actors have made hefty donations to the fund. Recently, actor Dwayne Johnson reportedly made a “historic” donation to help artists struggling financially due to the work stoppage.
Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider previously reported that Quaid was in talks with Marvel for the role of Human Torch. Sneider now says that Stanger Things star Joseph Quinn is being considered for the role as well.
Aside from Quinn, Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One actor Vanessa Kirby is being eyed for the role of Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman, opposite of Adam Driver as Reed Richards. However, recent reports indicate that the actor has passed on the role. Driver reportedly could not connect with the character of Mister Fantastic. Matt Smith and Dev Patel are now the subject of rumors for the role.

Mila Kunis previously shut down the speculation that she was involved in the project. The actor clarified that she was only having lunch with the upcoming film’s director, Matt Shakman.
“Apparently, if you go to lunch with somebody that is also in the industry, you then start working together, according to the internet,” Kunis said.
With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, members can’t work on any projects. Until things are resolved in Hollywood, we won’t officially know which actors are involved in upcoming projects.
The strike has already caused significant delays in the production of movies. Marvel has already pushed back a number of movie releases including Fantastic Four.
Fantastic Four is scheduled for release on May 2.
