James Gunn might be the new head of the newly formed DC Studios but fans still can’t let Zack Snyder and his plans for the DC Extended Universe go. And, while he’s since moved to doing different things, Snyder isn’t afraid to look back, especially for a good cause.
Two years after officially stepping down and letting go of the DCEU, Snyder is screening what was released as part of the SnyderVerse in theaters once again.
According to the Rebel Moon director, the upcoming “SnyderCon” event will run in Pasadena, California from April 28 to 30. During this time, Snyder will screen his DCEU movies as part of a charity event to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Autumn Snyder Tribute Fund, which is his way of honoring the death of his late daughter.

The first two DCEU films, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be shown at the ArtCenter in Pasadena on April 28 and 29, respectively. Afterward, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will enjoy an IMAX screening at the Universal Citywalk on April 30.
Synder confirmed that a panel of special mystery guests as well as merchandise will be sold at the event as well. Tickets for the SnyderCon will go on sale starting on Friday, March 24.
For better or for worse, Zack Snyder’s DCEU will remain the stuff of legends. His extensive Injustice-inspired plans for live-action DC Comics films have a cult-like following on the internet. Many still believe that Snyder deserves a shot at bringing his vision to life.
Unfortunately, this will never happen. At least, not anytime soon. James Gunn will start the DC Universe in 2025 with Superman: Legacy, which he will direct. From there, it’s off to the races as the DCU tries to catch up to its multi-billion-dollar cinematic opponent over at Marvel Studios.
Unless Snyder somehow drops his contract with Netflix that currently includes at least two films, Rebel Moon and an RPG game set in the same universe as well as Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas and Twilight of the Gods, and gets his own little pocket of the cinematic universe to do as he pleases from Warner Bros. Discovery, the chances of seeing a fully-realized SnyderVerse are close to zero.

If it’s any consolation, two remnants of the DCEU will premiere later this year with The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on June 16 and December 25, respectively.
