Better Call Saul is crossing over into the Breaking Bad timeline soon

Breaking Bad leads, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, recently talked about the secrecy behind their returns.

It will be pretty jarring seeing Walter White revert back to his pre-cancer "persona" after seeing him become "the one who knocks" in the last few episodes of Breaking Bad.

You don’t really need another reason to watch Better Call Saul. The Breaking Bad spin-off has proven itself to be compelling television, not unlike the original.

However, it’s difficult to deny that part of the allure of Better Call Saul is seeing “younger” versions of the characters that we saw and loved in Breaking Bad. As the Better Call Saul timeline starts approaching Breaking Bad, fans have been eagerly awaiting the brief cameo of the iconic duo of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, respectively.

Now that we’re only a few weeks away from Walter and Jesse’s appearance in Better Call Saul, both Cranston and Paul took some time to talk about how the showrunners wanted to keep their return a secret for a long time.

Here’s an excerpt from what Cranston shared with the Albuquerque Journal:

We were flown in under the darkness of night. We took this plane and they went to a certain private section of the airport there. And then we took like two steps out of the tarmac and into an SUV. They move us to an Airbnb – a duplex. He had the top floor. I had the bottom floor and we were told you can’t leave.

The same report points out that Cranston and Paul have updated their respective IMDB.com pages to reveal when they’ll show up in Better Call Saul. According to the online database, Cranston and Paul will appear in Episode 10, which airs next week on July 25. In most cases, shows will reserve such “big” revelations during the season finale or close to it. But, hey, we are talking about Better Call Saul here, a show that has had more twists and turns than you could imagine.

Technically, Jesse Pinkman is still alive following the events of El Camino.

Having said that, we’re curious how Cranston and Paul’s characters will appear in Better Call Saul. Are they going to interact with Saul? Or are we only going to get a glimpse of them? Regardless of what happens, seeing them again will be quite a spectacle for fans who have tuned in to both shows for over a decade.

In other Netflix news, the streaming platform just saw its second-ever original reach more than a billion hours watched in its first 28 days of streaming. Stranger Things Season 4 just joined Squid Game in this rare company.
