3v3 multiplayer confirmed for Armored Core 6

FromSoftware, while not a niche company, isn't the most mainstream studio. When its name comes up in conversations, the more casual gamers have a particular and very understandable distaste for their type of game. The unrelenting difficulty of the Soulsborne titles gives FromSoftware quite the reputation outside of its fanbase. However, this all changed with Elden Ring.

Within months, last year's GOTY winner broke records as the best-selling FromSoftware title ever and sold millions more a year later, all the while becoming arguably one of the best games to come out in the past decade if not ever.

While Elden Ring wasn't by, any means, easy, it was far more accessible compared to the typical FromSoftware game. Thus, those who jumped on the FromSoftware bandwagon with Elden Ring might expect a similar experience, only to be disappointed.

Armored Core 6 is a completely different ball game, as confirmed by the earlier previews. Given how much time has passed between this upcoming entry and its predecessors, most probably have little to no clue about what an Armored Core game is. But here's the thing: Armored Core isn't new to the multiplayer game. This feature has been around since the first game in 1997. Heck, it even went online with Armored Core IV. And the last two games, Armored Core V and Armored Core: Verdict Day, had a strong multiplayer focus. So, the multiplayer feature isn't a shot in the dark.

Don't forget, FromSoftware has a history of taking risks and making them work. Who knows, Armored Core 6 might just become another feather in their cap.
