Ever since battle royales burst into the scene years ago, they've become a part of nearly every big game. So far, one of the few that have resisted the temptation (at least, for now), is Halo Infinite. But, with its audience growing tired of 343 Industries' lackluster events for the game on top of the ongoing cheating issues, some believe that 343 might have to give in to recent trends and release a battle royale mode for Halo Infinite. However, according to a recent report, 343 has other plans for Halo Infinite for its second season.
Surasia claimed that Certain Affinity isn't working on a battle royale mode for Halo Infinite. Instead, Certain is helping 343 out with, what Surasia describes as a "sort of Invasion 2.0."
Unfortunately, this is unconfirmed information, so take it with a grain of salt. But, if we assume that what Surasai said is true, then Halo fans are in for a treat. Most newer fans probably won't remember Invasion. The fan-favorite mode was last seen back in 2010 with Bungie's Halo Reach. The gameplay revolved around pitting teams of six against each other for control over specific map points that took place throughout three phases.
