In the world of professional wrestling, the enigmatic WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt has been missing from the scene, leaving his supporters, The Fireflies, awaiting his return. Recent sightings, however, have generated a wave of excitement amongst fans, igniting rumors about his comeback.
Amidst an abrupt departure from WWE programming earlier this year due to a reported ‘physical issue’, Wyatt’s absence had led to a flurry of speculation. A void was left where Wyatt’s raw energy and the intriguing storyline were expected to be front and center. Bray Wyatt, born Windham Rotunda, had notably missed a live event at the iconic Madison Square Garden in March and had to forgo a rumored WrestleMania 39 clash with Bobby Lashley.
Wyatt was last seen on WWE television on the 27th of February on Raw, where he playfully taunted Lashley with his ‘muscle man’ dance during a Firefly Funhouse segment.
The WWE Universe was left bereft of Wyatt’s unique charisma and energy, and his sudden absence was keenly felt. But the unexpected release of a new photo showing Wyatt in a restaurant somewhere in Florida may signal hope for those who’ve been yearning for his return.
Fans immediately noticed the improvement in Wyatt’s physical shape, suggesting that he’s preparing for a comeback.
Unfortunately, the photo might not be as recent as fans think. The photo, taken at the Coney Island restaurant in Brooksville, Florida, is from May 2020, as per the Lucha Libre Online Facebook page.
Wyatt, known for his imaginative persona and high-energy performances, is a third-generation wrestler. His brief return at Extreme Rules last year sparked significant excitement among his fans, which he followed up with a feud with LA Knight on WWE SmackDown that culminated in a Pitch Black match at this year’s Royal Rumble. As previously mentioned, Wyatt was recently seen messing with Lashley until a still-undisclosed illness forced him out of the WWE, leaving the storyline unfinished.
Although not confirmed, there’s widespread speculation that he might resume his feud with Lashley, even though Lashley is not currently featured on either Money in the Bank and/or SummerSlam.
Interestingly enough, all these talks popped up just as Wyatt and Uncle Howdy, the latter of which is believed to be played by Bo Dallas, are headed to WWE 2K23 as part of the Revel with Wyatt Pack.
The fans are eager to see if the upcoming Money in the Bank event will be the stage for both Wyatt and Howdy’s comeback, just as they excitedly discuss a potential Randy Orton return in London.
Ultimately, whether Bray Wyatt or Randy Orton returns, WWE fans have plenty to get excited about come Saturday, July 1. Between The Bloodline Civil War, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which may see either LA Knight or Logan Paul win the entire thing, and Finn Balor going up against Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship as well as Gunther defending his belt against Matt Riddle, fans over at the O2 Arena and at home are in for quite the treat.
