How to get the Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld

One of the items that players can look forward to farming in Palworld is the Ancient Civilization Parts. This rare item is extremely useful and used every time you want to craft a certain Ancient Technology, such as an Egg Incubator, which is an important piece of equipment in Palworld. It also allows you to craft useful gadgets such as a grappling gun.

While defeating bosses to earn Ancient Civilization Points unlocks access to Ancient Technology in Palworld, crafting these items hinges on the availability of Ancient Civilization Parts. Here are the different ways you can get the Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld.

Alpha Bosses

To consistently gather Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld, defeating Alpha Pals in the overworld seems to be the most reliable method. These larger versions of regular pals are easily recognizable by their significant size. You can find these Alpha Pals at fixed locations in the overworld and as dungeon bosses around the world. The overworld boss variants are marked on the map when you discover them for the first time.

It’s worth noting that defeating an Alpha Pal doesn’t permanently remove it from the game. These formidable pals consistently respawn after an hour, providing players with continued opportunities to gather Ancient Civilization Parts.

The easiest Alpha Pal you can defeat at the earliest is the Chillet located near the original spawn point. You need to be at least level 11 or 12 to take on this Alpha Pal. Once defeated, you must wait for an hour for it to respawn.

Note that exiting your world or the game will stop the one hour timer countdown. So, you must be in your world and may do other things while the boss respawns. For players who have leveled up a bit more, a strategic approach involves rotating between various world bosses. An alternative to the Chillet is the Kingpaca, another world boss located not far away. Keep in mind, though, that the Kingpaca poses a more significant challenge with its level set at 23. Another world boss very close to the original spawn is the Mammorest, which is of level 38 and a lot more difficult to take down.

Defeating newer Alpha Pals is always a treat, since defeating an Alpha Boss Pal for the first time also rewards you with Ancient Civilization Points. You can use these points to unlock more Ancient Technology.

Dungeon Bosses

Another method to acquire Ancient Civilization Parts involves defeating dungeon bosses. These bosses, akin to Alpha Pals, are larger and more challenging versions of their regular counterparts. There are many dungeons in the overworld, but unlike the overworld bosses, the dungeons are not marked on the map. However, there are two dungeons quite close to your initial spawn location.

It is worth noting that dungeon bosses seem to be very inconsistent when it comes to dropping the Ancient Civilization Parts. There were cases where we didn’t even a single Ancient Civilization Part for defeating a dungeon boss. We highly recommend sticking to the overworld bosses as they always drop the parts. It is also important to know that the dungeon locations rotate every few hours.

Once you’ve beaten a certain cave dungeon, another randomly generated cave dungeon will replace it after an hour (real-time), just like the Alpha Pals. But don’t be discouraged to run these dungeons as they are still great to get new Pals, rare schematics, skill fruits, and gold coins.

If you’re efficient and mark 4-5 dungeons on your map, you can get approximately 18-20 Ancient Civilization Parts every hour. It is by no means the fastest method, but great for early game. Make sure to know your elemental affinities when going against these bosses.

Lucky Pals

Lucky Pals are an equivalent of Shiny Pokemons and they are rare to find in Palworld. These Pals are an upgraded version of their regular counterparts and come with distinct traits that make them particularly effective at your base. You can tell you found a Lucky Pal by a unique sparkle around them. You can find a single random Lucky Pal every 10 in-game hours.

Higher Rarity Chests

Although extremely rare, there is a chance for you to find an Ancient Civilization Part in a locked high rarity chest such as a red chest that requires a copper key to unlock. But I would advise against actively looking for these chests just to get Ancient Civilization Parts. It is not worth the time and effort.

Best Method

To maximize your collection of Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld, the most effective strategy is to rotate between defeating world bosses. During the hour-long respawn time for bosses, you can squeeze in a dungeon or two.
