Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis arrived on mobile devices earlier this month, and while the game isn’t coming to consoles just yet it is officially being ported to PC. Don’t lose hope though, console gamers – one port may just be the beginning.
According to a report by DSO Gaming , a PC version of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is in active development. Square Enix revealed that the game is coming to Steam and will feature data sharing with the mobile version, which we assume will allow players to sync progress across platforms.
“We are actively developing the Steam version so that you can enjoy Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis on PC,” Square Enix stated. You will also be able to share the data you play on the mobile version with the Steam version.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a gatcha game developed by Applibot and Square Enix. It was only initially available for Android and iOS. The game is part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, a collection of media spin-offs that includes Dirge of the Cerberus, Crisis Core, and The First Soldier.
In Ever Crisis, players get to experience the classic and new stories in the world of Final Fantasy VII whilst spending ridiculous amounts of money. The story is retold in a mix of retro-style gameplay with much more detailed graphics. Gamers will have access to their favorite characters which they can customize with gear and weapons to defeat opponents.
As a gatcha game, players must routinely play daily missions to unlock characters and progress through the story. There is an option to spend real-world money to speed up the process and skip some of the routine missions.
With Ever Crisis, players get to enjoy all the content within the Final Fantasy VII universe in just one platform. Players will have the ability to choose chapters within the series and play the different entries in the series. The mobile game will feature Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, The First Soldier, and Advent Children.
The addition of Advent Children is particularly intriguing as it is a full-length animated film that expands the story of Final Fantasy VII. This will be the first time that Advent Children is being adapted as a video game and it will be interesting how Square Enix translates the story as a playable title.
Square Enix has not yet revealed plans to port Ever Crisis to consoles. However, a console port will be likely if the game performs well on PC. The game already received 1 million pre-registrations ahead of release on mobile devices suggesting a strong interest in the title.
