It has been almost a year since Ms. Marvel premiered on Disney+. In support of the hit TV show, Marvel Studios dropped new content from the series for its fans. The studio added six new deleted scenes from Ms. Marvel last Tuesday.
These gave fans a new look at some of the content that did not make the final cut of the show. The six new scenes feature Kamala Khan in her (mis)adventures in the series. The scenes include interactions with family members, friends, and the Clandestines.
What are the six deleted scenes added to Ms. Marvel?
The first one is titled “I Can Explain” which shows Kamala sneaking back to her room from AvengerCon after realizing that her bangles gave her unexplained powers. Her brother Amir confronts her because he is worried about her sneaking out.
In “Totally Jealous”, Zoe shares her story of being saved by Ms. Marvel during AvengerCon. Zoe then invites Kamala, Bruno, and Nakia to her party. The scene ends with the school’s guidance counselor trying to join the trio’s study group before eventually leaving.
Kamala and Bruno get into a heated argument in “Just Friends” after the latter sustains an injury to Ms. Marvel’s hero antics. Kamala restates that she is only best friends with Bruno while it is clear that he has feelings for the heroine.
In “Beach Day”, Kamala spends her free time in Karachi with Kareem on the beach. The pair have a good time playing with camels and racing around in go-karts. It’s always fun to see characters hang out in between action and important plot points, but it makes sense that these are the first type of scenes to end up on the cutting room floor.
Finally, an alternate scene of Kamala and Aisha’s first meeting is showcased in “Destiny”. Kamala introduces herself to Aisha as her great-granddaughter after saving the latter from dangerous men. The scene played out a bit differently in the show.
Kamala and Muneeba fly back to Jersey City from Karachi in “Toffee Bend.” During the long flight, the pair talk about Ms. Marvel’s powers, Bruno, and some Toffee Bend. Guess where the deleted scene got its title?
Season 2 for Ms. Marvel hasn’t been officially greenlit yet but the series may still be continuing in the future. We may see Kamala Khan return to the small screen during Phase 6 of the MCU. Whatever the future of the show may be, the character definitely has some more adventures ahead of her.
Ms. Marvel will next appear in The Marvels alongside Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau. In the upcoming film, the superpowers of the trio become entangled with one another. The superheroes team up to figure out why they are switching places every time they try to use their powers.
The Marvels is coming to theaters on November 10, 2023.
