Did Bungie just reveal Destiny 3 via a survey?

Fans who have grown tired of the tumultuous support for Destiny 2 might finally have something to look forward to.

If we're being honest, a sequel to Destiny 2 is long overdue as it's already turning 6 later this year.

Something exciting and big that’s related to the Destiny franchise might be coming after Bungie sent out a fan survey.

Bungie, who’s known for its community-driven approach to video game development, sent out feelers that many hope will be an indication of the upcoming sequel.

In particular, the survey focuses on potential new features and improvements to the existing gameplay mechanics.

Ironically, the questions come after fans publicly demanded that Bungie start working on Destiny 3.

As previously mentioned, it isn’t unusual for Bungie to tap into the pulse of its dedicated player base. The studio’s ability to touch base with its customers is arguably the reason for its success. With this survey, Bungie is doing something that it has always done. But, Bungie may just be checking what fans would like to see in Destiny 3.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter if the questions are for Destiny 3 or another game. The prospect that Bungie is asking for fan feedback is good news.

Speaking of good news, do you think the survey has something to do with the upcoming PlayStation Showcase? If we’re being honest, we haven’t felt much from Sony’s acquisition of Bungie.

Aside from Sony saying it plans to launch several live-service games over the next few years, which Bungie will help with, the studio’s presence under the PlayStation umbrella has been largely unfelt.

A little over a year after the purchase, Bungie and Sony need to get fans excited.

Given how many games Bungie are working on at the moment, it wouldn’t surprise us if Destiny 3 isn’t their priority.

With an hour-long showcase planned for May 24, we’re hoping Bungie has at least one big announcement planned for next Wednesday. Otherwise, we can expect the Destiny 2 community to continue to complain about the state of Destiny 2 and Bungie’s continued lackadaisical approach in recent months.

Speaking of Bungie, the studio recently made headlines following its latest hiring. Also, Bungie will shift to Unreal Engine 5 for its next game. Finally, Bungie is under scrutiny for its latest Season Pass price increase.
