My Adventures with Superman will have a second season

My Adventures with Superman was an instant hit after its Adult Swim premiere last Friday.

My Adventures with Superman was a hit with both audiences and critics.

The Man of Steel is one of the most beloved comic characters, and this is evident in the sheer volume of Superman adaptations that exist. Last week, a new animated television series joined the fray from the stables of Studio Mir, and a second season has already been confirmed.

The animated series, titled My Adventures with Superman, was an instant hit with both critics and audiences. It has a Rotten Tomatoes critics’ approval rating of 100%. On the same platform, the show has an 85% audience approval rating.

Not many series can boast of such high ratings on both fronts. Because of this, it would have been weird if Warner Bros. did not renew the show for at least one more season. Of course, there is no longer any danger of that, and the show will have a second season.

On Saturday, the show’s creator, Jake Wyatt, confirmed that the fast-rising animated television series will have another season. Wyatt gave up this tidbit on Twitter when a fan asked, “Is it safe to say we’ll have a second season?

Wyatt’s response was enthusiastic, although short. He said, “Yep, they ordered two!” to the fan’s question and the relief of fans like us who waited with bated breath. Since two seasons were the original expectation, some fans hope the show’s success will reach further.

When the show was announced in 2021, it was for a two season run. Many things have happened since then, though, with the most notable one being the Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Because of this, and the bevy of changes the new bosses have made, we did not know whether the plan still holds.

Wyatt’s words dispel all uncertainties, though. And we now know that we will be treated to at least one more season of the celebrated animated series – and who knows, maybe if it continues to fly as high as season one, it won’t end there either.

My Adventures with Superman follows a young Clark Kent and his Daily Planet friends Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.

My Adventures with Superman tells the story of a young Clark Kent and his close friends and colleagues at the Daily Planet, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. It follows the young Superman during the early days of his secret career, his relationship with Lane, and the adventures the three young investigative reporters embark on.

My Adventures with Superman shares at least one similarity with Superman: Legacy, the next live-action Superman film. Both projects tell the story of a young man who doesn’t have his identity all figured out just yet.

Jack Quaid, who came to the limelight from his role as Hugh Campell in Prime Video’s The Boys, voices Clark Kent in the animated series, while Ashlee Lee and Ishmel Sahid voice Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, respectively.

David Corenswet, the new live-action Clark Kent, seems to be a fan of the animated series, too. After its premiere last week, he revealed he will be watching the series along with the other fans. Maybe we’ll see some influence on his performance?

My Adventures with Superman airs every Friday on Adult Swim before arriving on the streaming platform Max the following day.
