Netflix has made itself somewhat of a villain recently, thanks to a string of cancellations of fan-favorite shows that, based on its finances, were unprofitable, including Uncoupled, The Winx Saga, The Midnight Club, and Warrior Nun.
Even though it explained that these shows were not pulling enough viewers to justify the money it spent producing them, their fans did not care. They showed their displeasure at the cancellations in every way they could, especially on social media.
Warrior Nun’s fanbase is perhaps the most dedicated of the lot. A handful even took things a step further and paid to put up a billboard asking Netflix to #SaveWarriorNun in front of its LA headquarters for four consecutive weeks.
Several months later, it appears Warrior Nun fans’ efforts have paid off. The show’s creator and showrunner, Simon Barry, took to his Twitter on Wednesday to tell fans that the show will return for a third season. He said that the development was the result of the efforts of fans, basically confirming that their passion and dedication to the show yielded fruits.
Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more EPIC than you could imagine. More details to come! SOON! Thank-you!! #SaveWarriorNun #WarriorNunSaved ❤️🎬 pic.twitter.com/yuTbRR2L3q

In his words, “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more EPIC than you could imagine. More details to come! SOON! Thank-you!!”
Upon seeing the news, the show’s fans took to his comments to register their happiness at the development and went on to congratulate fellow fans for their combined effort in pulling off such a feat.
Barry didn’t reveal whether the series was renewed by Netflix or if a new network picked it up. While we think it would be great if the show continues its run on Netflix for the sake of continuity, the mere fact it has been renewed for another season is enough of a win for its fans.

Warrior Nun is a supernatural fantasy series that follows a young woman, who finds herself waking up in a morgue and part of a larger battle between the forces of good and evil. The second season ended on a cliffhanger, and not knowing how the story ends is probably one of the reasons why the fans are so eager for another reason.
The series takes inspiration from the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala by Ben Dunn and features Alba Baptista, Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Toya Turner, and Olivia Delcán. Right now, we do not know which one of them will return.
By the way, Warrior Nun is the second of those canceled Netflix series we mentioned earlier to get a new lease on life. The other one is Uncoupled, which was picked up by Showtime in February barely a month after its cancelation.
