While all wrestling fans can talk about right now are Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar as well as Seth Rollins, people shouldn’t forget that one of the biggest superstars in the WWE is headed to RAW next week.
Gunther, who was drafted to the RAW brand alongside his Imperium stablemates, Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, will be making their highly anticipated Monday Night RAW debut on the next episode of TV’s longest-running weekly episodic TV show.
Gunther is the current Intercontinental Champion with a 330-day reign. It’s believed that the WWE is gunning for Gunther to set a new record and surpass the 454-day reign of the Honky Tonk Man as part of the company’s plans to modernize the record books. This would imply that Gunther will continue to defend his title well into the current year, possibly even until next year. But, don’t be surprised if the WWE pivots towards having Gunther take on Lesnar at SummerSlam in August, as initially planned.

Aside from Gunther’s arrival, the May 15 episode of Monday Night RAW will include a thrilling face-off between Shinsuke Nakamura and The Miz.
Nakamura, known for his charismatic presence and flair, and The Miz, recognized for his mic skills and underrated technical wrestling acumen, should put up a fight worth watching.
Both The Miz and Nakamura were recently part of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament where they lost to Seth Rollins.
It’s unclear if the WWE will immediately put Gunther to work upon his arrival, but don’t be surprised if that happens.
Gunther is one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE today. Fans are keen to see Gunther in action, especially after he successfully defended his title against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre on Day 2 of WrestleMania 39.
