Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar rematch set for Night of Champions

Brock Lesnar's multiple attempts at Cody Rhodes made it clear that he wasn't happy with the "fluke" loss he suffered in Puerto Rico.

We're not going to lie, Brock Lesnar did a great job selling his promo ahead of Night of Champions.

So much for Brock Lesnar taking a loss so well.

After losing to Cody Rhodes at WWE Backlash and getting a standing ovation from the appreciative Puerto Rico crowd, an angry Lesnar went ahead and unleashed his inner beast on the May 8 episode of Monday Night RAW.

In the middle of the second triple threat match that's part of the WWE Heavyweight World Championship Tournament, a "bruised" Lesnar cost Rhodes a shot at the new title belt. His appearance out of nowhere allowed Finn Balor to secure the win over The Miz as Rhodes was left lying on the floor after being put through the announcer's table, reminiscent of the beating he received at RAW After WrestleMania.

Lesnar's actions made it clear that he wants a rematch and Rhodes was more than happy to accept the challenge.

The stage is now set for an intense showdown at Night of Champions on May 27.

Both Rhodes and Lesnar have plenty to prove on that night. For Rhodes, it's a chance to prove doubters wrong and secure a "clean" win over Lesnar. On the other hand, this is a way for Lesnar to show everyone that he's still as dominant as ever.

The Beast Incarnate and The American Nightmare have impressive resumes, and their new history in the ring guarantees a huge draw for the rematch.

Fans can look forward to a more thrilling, hard-hitting contest that will showcase the talents of both Lesnar and Rhodes.

Can Rhodes overcome Lesnar's brute strength and secure a "cleaner" win for the second PPV in a row? Or can The Beast Incarnate adjust and learn from his earlier mistakes to assert his dominance?

The WWE is slowly building Cody Rhodes back up to being the one who deserves to dethrone Roman Reigns.

Regardless of the outcome, Night of Champions will give the crowd in Saudi Arabia a night to remember. Much more so after Seth Rollins secured his title shot at the same PPV. All that's left now is for audiences to wait to find out more about what else the WWE has planned for May 27.
