Vince McMahon can now “overrule” Triple H in the WWE

Just days after successfully reinstating himself within the WWE's creative team, Vince McMahon back to his old tricks.

Don't forget, the idea behind the Bloodline storyline is all Vince McMahon's.

It looks like The Game has been played and is no longer the King of Kings.

The arrival of Triple H last year following the exit of Vince McMahon amidst sexual harassment allegations was a celebrated move. Unfortunately, earlier this year, the elder McMahon successfully muscled his way back into the WWE. Then, following the merger between the UFC and the WWE, McMahon became the second-most-powerful person in the newly-confirmed company, just behind Ari Emanuel.

Now, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that McMahon has exercised his new power to become the “No. 1” decision-maker in the WWE. Furthermore, Meltzer adds that McMahon is now powerful enough to “overrule” anything that Triple H books should he see fit.

McMahon refuted the accusations that he wants his former post back in his return to the WWE earlier this year. According to the long-time WWE Creative Head, all he wanted to do was to help facilitate the sale of the WWE. But, even after he had achieved his goal, McMahon is poised to remain a dominating presence in the WWE.

Meltzer pointed out a similar situation to when Paul Heyman and Bruce Pritchard took “control” of RAW and SmackDown, respectively, in 2019. While both technically had “control” over their respective brands, it was still up to McMahon to decide behind the scenes, similar to what Vince wants to do with his son-in-law.

It’s a shame that Triple H won’t be able to follow-up on his first WrestleMania now that Vince McMahon is back.

Ultimately, it’s unclear if McMahon will go back to his old domineering ways or if he’ll let Triple H soldier on. Either way, the multiple reports we’ve heard suggest that the recent sale empowered McMahon to call the creative shots whenever he sees it necessary.

Obviously, McMahon’s big power walk back to the top of the WWE hierarchy is causing a ton of concern.

We’ll just have to see how this entire situation will play out.
