It appears Marvel Studios is fleshing out the Multiverse Saga even further, particularly, the final phase. According to reports, Spider-Man 4 is being fast-tracked with Eternals 2 and Shang-Chi 2 also in development as well. Now, it looks like Marvel has added Doctor Strange 3 to the list.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that Marvel is adding a new Doctor Strange movie to the MCU slate before the end of the Multiverse Saga.
KC Walsh, an established movie insider, claims to have seen Marvel Studios’ production calendar. According to Walsh, the calendar includes a listing for a brand-new Doctor Strange movie. The upcoming film is presumably a direct sequel to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

However, unlike Spider-Man 4, Doctor Strange 3 has not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel. So, take these rumors with a grain of salt.
Walsh also corroborated previous reports that Shang-Chi and Eternals sequels are being made. These films are still not officially part of Phase Five and Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at this point. Marvel already confirmed Shang-Chi 2 in December 2021 but there have been no updates regarding the movie. Meanwhile, the Eternals 2 is listed as an upcoming project by actor Don Lee’s PR agency.
Marvel is rumored to be in the midst of rescheduling Phase Five and Six movies. Sources reveal that Deadpool 3 will be closing out Phase Five instead of Blade. The release date for The Marvels has also been moved to a later date reportedly to give more time for post-production.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Disney’s Bob Iger recently made statements regarding the studio’s new approach toward its TV shows. Marvel wants to spread out content for Disney+, delaying several TV series slated for release this year.
There are reports that Echo and Ironheart will be pushed back to 2024 instead of premiering this year. Secret Invasion and Loki Season 2 are the only confirmed TV shows coming to Disney+ this year.
It will be interesting to see what Marvel’s release schedule for the rest of the Multiverse Saga will look like with the addition of all these movies. Perhaps we will see Marvel extend Phase Six to 2027 will all the delays and additions.
We’re excited to see Marvel’s next presentation if only to find out more if these rumors are true or not.
