In the past few years, The Rock has created a big name for himself in Hollywood, but his wrestling days are far from over despite the significant career shift. Many wrestling fans have been speculating that The Great One will make an appearance in the ring this year, and the latest WWE Royal Rumble poster indicates that his return is about to happen.
The official Royal Rumble poster features several WWE champions, including the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the current WWE United States Champion Austin Theory, the current RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, the current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Rhea Ripley, Asuka, Ricochet, The Miz, and Bobby Lashley.
Although The Rock doesn’t appear on the poster, the biggest giveaway is the lightning bolts incorporated into the poster’s background. WWE has often shown a penchant for dramatic effect. If you couple this with The Rock’s self-declaration as the “most electrifying man in sports entertainment,” the 10-time world champion could very well be making a return in this year’s Royal Rumble match.

Considering recent reports that The Rock is a virtual lock for WrestleMania 39 later this year, the pay-per-view event on January 28 could be the perfect opportunity for WWE to set up a feud with Roman Reigns that would culminate in a high-stakes championship match.
