Roman Reigns, the current and longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion in his second reign, as well as the current WWE Champion in his fourth reign, making him WWE's undisputed world champion, has completely dominated the professional wrestling arena.

But Jim Cornette believes that one particular matchup can raise his profile and make him an even bigger star than he currently is.
As one of the dream matchups that many wrestling fans have on their bucket lists, The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is arguably the best title contender match that WrestleMania could set up this coming year. Speaking on his show, the Jim Cornette Experience, the former wrestling manager stated that Roman Reigns going up against the 10-time world champion would elevate his wrestling status:
You see this is a different case. The Rock, obviously he doesn’t need to be anymore over, and obviously he doesn’t need to have another match. And obviously, if he does have another match, it’s because he wants to and the one he specifically wants to have, and that’s with Roman Reigns. And because even though Reigns is now kind of a part-time guy, you could still make Roman Reigns even bigger if he beat The Rock. And because it’s a family connection, I think that’s what they would probably do. So that could be a mega drawing match. And again, even if people wanted to see The Rock win they would understand that he didn’t because also, and maybe it’s not even for the f*cking title. Maybe it’s a personal issue where they swerve the people, it’s non-title that way they think Rock will win but he still puts Roman over that could happen. But Rock says I don’t want the title, I can’t have the championship. I’m a movie star but this one thing to settle who is the head of the table?
Despite The Rock's busy schedule, thanks largely to his acting career, he is reportedly "a virtual lock" for WrestleMania 39, which will be held in Inglewood, California, on April 1 and 2 next year. It is highly likely that Roman Reigns might finally get to wrestle The Great One next year in an event that is being marketed as 'WrestleMania Goes Hollywood', and wrestling fans are definitely eager to watch that match if it happens.
