Award-winning actor and producer, Alec Baldwin, has spent the better part of the past year dealing with the legal and emotional fallout following the tragic passing of Halyna Hutchins. While Baldwin is still dealing with the aftermath, it appears that the Boss Baby actor is ready to work, and he’s set to hopefully spread some cheer upon his return to screens.

According to a few snaps taken by the Daily Mail, the 63-year-old actor is playing Santa Claus and he’s currently in Rome filming for Francesco Cinquemani’s Kid Santa.

The leaked photos show Baldwin wearing a red suit with a matching white beard and fake eyebrows to help complete the look. The Daily Mail also managed to sneak and capture Baldwin spending some time with his brother, William, who will co-star with him in Kid Santa. Judging from what we’ve seen so far, Kid Santa will attempt to tell a more modern version of a St. Nick tale than most.

Speaking of Alec and his brother, William, the two will co-star as well in another flick directed by Cinquemani, Billie’s Magic World.

Only time will tell if the public will have moved on from Baldwin’s Rust scandal by the time that either Billie’s Magic World or Kid Santa premieres in theaters, presumably, in time for the holidays this year. Baldwin is currently facing a handful of lawsuits from multiple parties as a result of an incident involving the 63-year-old actor and a loaded prop gun that fired a real bullet on the set of the now-canceled film, Rust. The accidental shooting resulted in the death of the film’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, as well as injury to the film’s director, Joel Souza.

Speaking of Baldwin, several celebrities spoke out against the use of real guns following what happened on the set of Rust. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, in particular, has outright banned the use of real guns in all his action films going forward.

Baldwin is currently shielding himself from financial liability resulting from the Rust incident.
