The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the largest and most famous music festivals in the world. In 2017, the festival attracted over 250,000 people and grossed over $110 million.
Last year, YouTube livestreamed three of the event’s six shows. Now, one year later, the video-sharing platform has announced it will stream all six shows this year following an earlier announcement that it had renewed its exclusive livestream agreement with the festival’s organizers through 2026.
The shows will take place across six stages: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theater, Sahara, Mojave, Gobi, and Sonora with viewers able to tune into any to view their favorite artist.
In a blog post announcing the development, the Google-owned company stated, “This year we will be live streaming Coachella from more stages than ever before with 6 feeds in action (double the amount from last year) across both weekends. Whether you’re watching from home, abroad, or at parties with friends, anyone can tune into Coachella’s YouTube Channel, pick a stage, and watch the performances happening live with the rest of the fans.”

In between performances, YouTube also promises to treat viewers to “on-the-ground coverage of the art, artists, installations, behind-the-scenes Shorts moments and more.”
Coachella 2023 is billed as a historic one as, for the first time ever, none of its trio of headliners – Blackpink, Frank Ocean, and Bad Bunny – is white. Among others, artists that will perform at the two-weekend event include Calvin Harris, Kaytranada, Blondie, Burna Boy, Gorillaz, Becky G, Rae Sremmurd, Labrinth, Charlie XCX, Kali Uchis, Angèle, Metro Boomin, Wet Leg, MUNA, BENEE, Dominic Fike, Remi Wolf, Yungblud, Boygenius, the Kid Laroi, 070 Shake, Mura Masa, Latto, GloRilla, and Porter Robinson.
In the US, Fast X, Verizon, and NYX Professional Makeup will sponsor the first weekend while Tic Tac will sponsor the second weekend. On the other side of the ocean, Levi Strauss and Co will sponsor in most parts of Europe on both weekends.
Coachella 2023’s first weekend will begin on Friday, April 14 at 4 PM PT and run till Sunday, April 16 while the second weekend will start the following Friday, April 21, also at 4 PM PT and run till Sunday, April 24.
For fans who miss the live-streamed feeds or want to catch up on other feeds, YouTube promises that “the festival sets will be on repeat after the night’s final performance” until the event begins the following day at 4 PM PT.
