The Pixel Remaster collection boasts of the remastered versions of the first six Final Fantasy titles, from Final Fantasy I all the way through Final Fantasy VI. The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series of games is heaven sent for gamers who grew up during a time when Japan exclusively had access to most of the best games.
But, when there’s good news, there’s also bad. While very much welcome, some argue that Square Enix could’ve done a lot better with the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series. Case in point, Square Enix could’ve included the extra content in the Game Boy Advanced ports. Final Fantasy VI Advance, in particular, is a fan-favourite, as, among other things, it boasts a bevvy of extra summons.
Square Enix might want to reissue the physical versions as well, given the demand. Their limited availability has turned them into a collector’s gem, with price points soaring up to $2,000 on platforms like eBay.
