Additionally, the sets will feature buildable trees, including the game’s signature fruit trees, flowers, and the whimsical balloon presents known to float across the game’s skies.

This collaboration marks the latest in a series of successful partnerships between Nintendo and LEGO, with the latter having previously released sets for other high-profile video game franchises, including Horizon Forbidden West, Atari 2600, and Pac-Man. The Super Mario line of LEGO playsets, as well as more advanced builds like the LEGO NES, Mario Question Block, and Bowser sets, have been particularly well-received by fans of both brands.

The Animal Crossing game, particularly its most recent installment, New Horizons, has enjoyed immense success since its release in March 2020. As of June this year, New Horizons has sold a staggering 42.79 million copies, securing its position as the second-best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch platform.

With such a dedicated and expansive fan base, the upcoming LEGO sets are sure to be a hit among both gamers and LEGO enthusiasts alike.

While the exact details of the sets, including specific release dates, remain under wraps, the teaser from Nintendo has undoubtedly stoked excitement and anticipation within the gaming and LEGO communities.

With fans having expressed their desire for Animal Crossing LEGO sets for years, even submitting designs to the LEGO Ideas platform, this official announcement is sure to be met with unbridled enthusiasm.
