A major aspect of Palworld is using your Pals to help you with fundamental tasks such as cooking, refining, planting, mining, farming, and more. However, not every Pal is best suited for any job. Some pals are better than others at different tasks. In this guide, we show you all the best Pals, along with their locations, for every work type in Palworld.
Work Suitability
Palworld’s work system is multifaceted, with many different job types that your Pals can do. This is known as work suitability. You can assign your Pals to multiple tasks in order to work, speed up the process and optimize your passive farming as you explore the world for more Pals.
The overall system is very intuitive. For example, Fire-type Pals can do Kindling jobs such as providing heat to cook food, smelting ores, and lighting up torches around your base. Grass-type pals are great for planting seeds at the designated plantation and so on.
The following are all the different types of jobs in Palworld, their description, and the type of Pal element that is best suited to carry out the respective job.

Work Efficiency
Every Pal works differently and as mentioned before some are better at certain tasks than others. This is determined by their work suitability level. The work suitability level is indicated by a small number next to the work icon on a Pal’s details page. The maximum possible level is level 4. Some jobs do not have level 4, but stop at level 3. The level determines how efficient and fast those Pals are at their suitable work.
You can also make these Pals better by condensing them. This is mostly applicable to more common Pals that have level 1 work suitability. For example, Lamball and Chikipi. Once you’ve caught at least five, you can use the Essence Condenser to extract their essence and rank up your fifth Pal of the same. This will increase the partner skill of the Pal and increase its stats.
Best Pals for Every Work
As mentioned, if you have Pals that are level 4 at certain jobs, you can use them at your base for maximum efficiency work. However, it can take some time to finally get all the best Pals. Regardless, here’s how to get the best Pals for every work suitability in Palworld with level 4. Some Pals may not have level 4 work suitability, but that is alright. We will list the Best Pal for that particular work even if the work suitability is level 3.
Keep in mind that if you don’t spot a particular Pal at a designated location, try leaving the area and returning. The spawns are random, and you might encounter different Pals specific to that location upon your return, for example, Mozzarina and Woolipop share the same locations.
Best Pal for Kindling
The best Pal for Kindling is Jormuntide Ignis that has Kindling Level 4.
You can easily find Jormuntide Ignis in batches at No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary located southwest of the Forgotten Islands teleport waypoint.
Best Pal for Watering
The best Pal for Watering is the standard Jormuntide found in a lake south of the Investigator’s Fork teleport waypoint. Jormuntide has level 4 Watering work suitability. The Jormuntide is a level 45 Alpha Pal.
Best Pal for Planting
The best Pal for Planting is Lyleen which you can find at No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary located east of the Dessicated Dessert.
You can get to the sanctuary by first teleporting to the Deep Sand Dunes teleport waypoint and then using a flying mount to get across the sea to the sanctuary to your northeast. The Lyleen at the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary will be around level 43.
Best Pal for Handiwork
The best Pal for Handiwork is the Anubis. Anubis is one of the coolest looking Pals in the game and can be found in a desert region.
You need to go to northeast of the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant fast travel waypoint to find its lair. You will also see a large Anubis statue which is a clear indicator of its lair.
Best Pal for Generating Electricity
The best Pal for generating electricity is Orserk that has Level 4 Generating Electricity, Level 3 Transporting, and Level 2 Handiwork.
Just like Lyleen, you can find a level 43 or level 44 Orserk at No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary.
Best Pal for Lumbering
The best Pal for Lumbering is Bushi. Bushi is one of the best Pals for several reasons. Not only does it possess Level 3 Lumbering, but also has Level 2 Kindling, Level 2 Transporting, Level 1 Gathering, and Level 1 Handiwork.
You can also find Bushi at No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary. There is no Level 4 for Lumbering.
Another great Pal for Lumbering is the Wumpo Botan which you can find at No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary which also has Level 4 Transporting. But we recommend going with the Bushi.
Best Pal for Mining
Many get confused and think that Digtoise is the best Pal for Mining. However, Digtoise only has Level 3 Mining. The best Pal for Mining is the one and only, Astegon.
You can either get the Alpha Pal version of the Astegon from the Destroyed Mineshaft from Mount Obsidian, or you can get the regular version of the same from No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary.
You can find a level 40 to 41 Astegon at the sanctuary. It has Level 4 Mining work suitability.
Best Pal for Medicine Production
Medicine Production’s max level is 3. So, if you’ve already captured a Lyleen from No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, you can use it for Medicine Production as well.
However, another great Pal for it is Vaelet. Vaelet not only has Level 3 Medicine Production, but also has Level 2 Planting, Level 2 Handiwork, Level 2 Gathering, and Level 1, Transporting.
You can find a relatively lower level Vaelet (level 22-23) at No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary located east of the Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach teleport waypoint in the southern part of the map.
Best Pal for Transporting
The best Pal for Transporting is Wumpo Botan. You can find a level 42-43 Wumpo Botan at No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Wumpo Botan has Level 4 Transporting, Level 3 Lumbering, Level 2 Handiwork, and Level 1 Planting. As you can see, the Wumpo Botan is also great at Lumbering.
Best Pal for Cooling
The best Pal for cooling is a level 50 Alpha Pal called Frostallion.
You can find Frostallion east of the Land of Absolute Zero teleport waypoint in the northern part of the map. Make sure you have a cold resistant armor to withstand the cold of the north.
Frostallion only has Cooling Level 4 which is actually better since it will only focus on doing its one task we need it to do.
Best Pal for Gathering
The best Pal for Gathering is Frostallion Noct. Unfortunately, the only way to get a Frostallion Noct is by breeding a Frostallion and a Helzephyr.
Frostallion can be found east of the Land of Absolute Zero teleport waypoint, as mentioned before.
Helzephyr can only be acquired at night given that it is a nocturnal Pal and only spawns at night time. You can find a couple of Helzephyr flying east of Hypocrite Hill teleport waypoint. You should find either one or two level 25 Helzephyr.
Even during the dark night, locating Helzephyr isn’t a challenge.
Frostallion Noct
Once you’ve acquired both the Pals needed to breed. You need to build a Breeding Farm (requires 100x Wood, 20x Stone, and 50 Fiber).
Once you’ve built the farm, you need to cook a cake using your cooking pot.
After cooking the cake, you need to put it inside the Breeding Farm chest which is attached on the right side of the Breeding Farm entrance.
Once that is done, put both Frostallion and Helzephyr in your base using the Palbox. Once they’re on field, pick them up and assign them to the Breeding Farm and they will start breeding.
It goes without saying, but make sure both Pals are of opposite gender for them to breed. Once the breeding completes, there will be a Huge Dark Egg which you can pick up.
Pick up the egg and put it in an Egg Incubator.
Now, you can have this rare Pal as an excellent gathering unit at your base.
Best Pal for Farming
Farming Pals are Pals that can be assigned to the Ranch to produce a certain product that you need. There is no “best” Pal for farming but there are several Pals you can assign to the Ranch where they will “Graze” and produce a product you need.
Building a Ranch
You can build a Ranch using 50x Wood, 20x Stone, and 30x Fiber. It is relatively easier and cheaper to build than most of the other things in the game.
Farming Pals
Lamball
Lamball is a great Pal you can assign to the Ranch for Wool. Luckily, there is no specific location for this Pal as it is found everywhere you go. However, one of the most consistent location filled with both Lamball and Chikipi is the Plateau of Beginnings.
Melpaca and Cremis also produces Wool. However, it is easier to just get Lamball as they are everywhere. Melpaca is also relatively easier to get but slightly less abundant than the Lamball.
If you go downhill from the Plateau of Beginnings teleport waypoint, you will find a lot of Lamballs and Chikipi. You can even find some Melpaca and Cattiva.
Chikipi
Chikipi is assigned to the Ranch to get Egg. Much like the Lamball, Chikipi is also available in abundance. You can find them at the same location as the Lamballs.
Mozzarina
Mozzarina produces Milk when assigned to the Ranch. You can find Mozzarina on a grassy hill east of the Ravine Entrance teleport waypoint.
You can also find one Mozzarina in the pink flower fields next to the teleport waypoint itself.
Beegarde
Beegarde is the best Pal for producing Honey in Palworld. They are quite ferocious and difficult to catch but you can find them in groups of two or three near the Mossanda Forest teleport waypoint.
Caprity
Caprity is amazing for producing Red Berries passively. However, it is not that useful if you already have a plantation set up. You can find a Caprity near the Fort Ruins teleport waypoint. There is always a spawn in the middle of the ravine located west of the teleport waypoint.
Sometimes, you can also see a Caprity spawn right in front of you near the Fort next to the teleport waypoint.
Woolipop
Woolipop helps produce Cotton Candy. You can generally find Woolipop at the same location where Mozzarina spawns. They alternate at the same locations. However, you can also find a Woolipop in the grassy fields southeast of the Sealed Realm of the Thunder Dragon.
Note that you can revisit the Ravine Entrance, where Mozzarina typically appears. Occasionally, you might find a Woolipop there. Alternatively, check the Sealed Realm of the Thunder Dragon spawn location; it could also spawn a Mozzarina.
Flambelle
Flambelle is great for producing Flame Organ. Flame Organ is used for many things especially crafting Fire Arrows. While you can find Flambelle near Mount Obsidian, you can also catch them quite early on near a volcanic ravine located east of the Sealed Realm of the Swift dungeon.
Sibelyx
Sibelyx produces High Quality Cloth but the problem is that you can only get it from the snowy region located north of the map. They spawn all over the snowy region and doesn’t have a specific area.
However, we found one in the northern part near the abandoned huge structures.
If you’re at least level 40, you can try and capture the Alpha Pal Sibelyx located at Sealed Realm of the Pristine on top of Frostbound Mountain just northwest of the Sealed Realm of the Swift.
Vixy
Vixy can be captured quite early on in the game north of Small Settlement and south of the Desolate Church. You can assign Vixy to the Ranch to get random products such as Arrows, Gold, and sometimes even Pal Spheres.
Since you can get Vixy early, it is best to have it on your Ranch as soon as you set up a base. It will provide a good jump start and get you items you might not have otherwise quickly.
