In case you aren’t tired of, oh, ten (?) years of GTA 6 rumors, speculation and alleged leaks, here’s a new one that’s been pulled from the recent Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay leaks. The newest finding by gaming detectives reveals a new playable location aside from Vice City in GTA 6, if things shake out to be legit.
Rockstar has yet to officially announce Grand Theft Auto 6 but fans have already found out a lot about the upcoming game through leaked footage. The gameplay videos that have made their way to the internet reveal a male and female protagonist for the upcoming installment. There will also be a change in the Wanted System along with more explorable building interiors.
One interesting detail that has been found in the leaks is that GTA 6 will not only be limited to Vice City. The game will most likely include another location outside of the state of Florida. According to a list of compiled details for the game, players will be traveling to the state of Georgia in the upcoming title.
“Rockstar have brought down and featured locations from Georgia, including a Prison and mountain ranges not present in real-world Florida,” the GTA 6 game information list states.
On X, a user pointed out that the footage of Jason outside of a prison facility appears to be based on the Augusta State Medical Prison in Georgia. The state borders Florida but is some distance away from Miami, which is the inspiration for Vice City. We expect players to embark on a long road trip to reach the adjacent state.

In the main area of Vice City, several named locations have been listed in the leaks. These include Ambrosia, Ekanfinaka, Grassviers, Hamlet, Jack of Hearts Club, Keys, La Perle, Lake Leonida, Leaf Links, Little Haiti, Malibu Club, Ocean Drive, Ocean View, Port Gellhorn, Redhill, Rockridge, South Beach, Sundown, Vice Beach, and Washington Beach. Locations like Little Haiti and the Malibu Club have been referenced in World Events as seen in the gameplay footage.
Fans have also speculated that Vice City will extend beyond the main strip of Maimi and feature areas in the surrounding regions. The Port Gellhorn location appears to be a combination of Fort Myers and Panama City.
It will be interesting to see how large the open world will be in GTA 6 – after all, AAA open world titles have often used the size of their maps as a bit of a measuring contest. In Grand Theft Auto 5, players already had a massive area to explore with Los Santos, Sandy Shores, and Paleto Bay – not to mention the one-off locations rarely visited in specific missions.
If the playable area does indeed include the border between Florida and Georgia, then it will be a huge map. Combining the map size with the explorable building interiors makes the upcoming game massive. Players will surely have a lot of fun exploring all the stuff hidden within the map and finding all the easter eggs.
We do hope Rockstar reveals the game soon. There have been rumors that we will get an official announcement this month. We will keep our fingers crossed for that one.
