As far as rabbit hole goes, few go as deep as Grand Theft Auto 6. The metaphor, originating from Alice in Wonderland, is the perfect analogy for the next Grand Theft Auto game. Why? Because trying to separate fiction from fact is harder than getting everyone to agree on the best GTA game.
Back in December 2023, Rockstar Games revealed the official trailer for GTA 6 and it was glorious. The trailer, a record-breaking piece of gaming history, erased nearly a decades’ worth of waiting, uniting everyone if only temporarily as everyone forgot about the massive leak in September 2022 just to soak it all in.
And, well, we’ve received nothing since. Aside from more broken records and awards, or the now-sporadic updates to GTA Online, Rockstar ended the year with little to no additional information about GTA 6. Still, this hasn’t stopped the fans from going back to their usual speculative selves. The only difference is, now that there’s official and confirmation information, some are content with just waiting for more details, all the while poking fun at those that continue to talk about what’s in GTA 6 and what could be added to the game.

On the r/GTA6_NEW subreddit, several users have taken to a templatelike series of postings, asking others to chime in and share their thoughts about the potential features in GTA 6.
The only problem is that they’re not serious about fostering discussion. Instead, the posts usually start with “do you think” and ends with an absurd question. Like, for example, asking if CPAP machines will be in GTA 6 or if it will feature “immersive blue collar work” like “replacing water heaters or installing new cast iron lines.”
Of course, the more legitimate questions attract responses from curious and speculative fans.
From whether Rockstar will “tone it down with all of the unrealistic military vehicles” to questions about the NPC population, the official logo, and so on and so forth, there are actual discussions. However, in the past week, getting a straight and serious answer has become close to impossible.
Just like with the previous GTA 6 speculation trends – remember the time when fans believed GTA 6 would be announced as part of GTA 5’s anniversary celebration? – this should die down.
Until then, feel free to participate in discussions about whether GTA 6 will have three protagonists who will fly to Liberty City as seagulls.
Rockstar Games is currently working GTA 6 with a release window of 2025. Similar to GTA 5, the next GTA game will release exclusively on consoles, with a PC port coming later so Rockstar can focus on making the game the best version possible in its initial release.
