There was a time when Gran Turismo was considered the best racing game available, bar none. Although the franchise very much remains the go-to racing sim for most gamers, it’s no longer at the top of the totem pole though. The combination of Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport, as well as the intensified focus on competitive online driving with 2017’s Gran Turismo Sport, set the series back quite a bit. But, now, with Gran Turismo 7, which many are describing as a love letter to car culture, Polyphony Digital is looking to race past its competition.
Having said that, the several trailers and teases that we’ve gotten of Gran Turismo 7 so far suggest it’s a game that will deliver on its potential, including Sony’s first State of Play event this year. However, for those who prefer to read and watch reviews first, we’ve got exactly what you need.

According to GTPlanet, which is a website dedicated to all things Gran Turismo, the site along with other media members, received their review copies of Gran Turismo 7 earlier this week. They’ll have their hands full dissecting the game until March 2 at 11:01 AM GMT, which is when the international review embargo of Gran Turismo 7 will be lifted. By then, the written and video reviews of Gran Turismo 7 will be up, making it easier for those who are still somehow undecided.
Most likely, this is all the information that we will get about Gran Turismo 7 for now, and until March 4, it’s probably the last “official” news we’ll hear about the upcoming mainline installment of Sony’s highly decorated racing sims. Although, we wouldn’t mind if Sony and Polyphony dropped a final trailer or two in the lead-up to the game’s release.
In the meantime, you can keep yourself busy playing other non-GT racing games.
