Bungie bans well known Destiny 2 player for leaking information

Bungie claims to possess irrefutable evidence confirming the identity of the massive Destiny 2 leak that came out earlier this year.

Popular Destiny 2 streamer Ekuegan received a ban for the leaks.

Massive changes have already arrived in Destiny 2 earlier this year. If we believe a major leak, more are still coming before the year ends. But, before you go ahead and help spread the rumors, do keep in mind that Bungie has already taken action against the source.

According to Bungie, it has already identified the individual behind the leak and issued appropriate punishment.

The leaked information came from Bungie’s frequent creator summits. The event gives top players and members of the media a preview of the upcoming features and content coming to Destiny 2.

While Bungie has not revealed the identity of the leaker, many believe the popular Destiny 2 player and streamer, Ekuegan, is responsible for the leaks. The player reportedly shared confidential information about upcoming content in a Discord channel which came to the attention of Bungie.

In an interview with Forbes, Ekuegan said that the studio accused him of being the source of the confidential information. The popular streamer claims that he is innocent.

Ekuegan claims that he has been wrongfully accused by Bungie.

Ekuegan is a well-known Destiny 2 streamer and Youtuber who’s well-known for running over 6,000 Grandmaster Nightfalls.

Coincidentally, Bungie’s tweet came hours after Ekuegan surprised everyone by saying that he will stop playing Destiny 2 going forward. Despite the allegations, Ekeugan maintains his innocence and confirms that he’s working on clearing his name.

It’s unclear if Bungie will pursue legal action against the streamer. If it’s true that Ekeugan leaked info, the streamer broke several laws, especially as attending the Creator Summit requires you to sign an NDA that prevents you from disclosing confidential information outside of the event.
