Parents everywhere, beware, because your kids will be asking you to go back into theaters again in three years for PAW Patrol 3 following the success of the first two films.
Hot on the heels of the howling success of the Adventure Bay pup’s second moving outing, Spin Master Corporation is releasing a third PAW Patrol movie in 2026.
Spin Master, a children’s entertainment company responsible for the PAW Patrol toy line, will, once again, work together with Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures to see if it can go for a third straight box office hit.

The first PAW Patrol film, PAW Patrol: The Movie, made $144.3 million in 2021, just as the world was recovering from a global pandemic. The sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, is closing in on $50 million at the global box office after its initial launch weekend.
Critically, both PAW Patrol films are enjoying praise from audiences and critics alike. The first two films have posted an 80% and 82% rating, respectively, proving that they weren’t just mere cash grabs looking to capitalize on the popularity of the now-decade old animated franchise.
At the rate that it’s going, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie could make $200 million at the global box office – a nearly 7X multiple based on its $30 million budget.

Furthermore, the consensus is that it’s not just the kids that are enjoying the films – the parents are loving them too. It’s always a good sign when the people paying for the tickets and merchandise can sit through a two-hour movie without feeling bored or fall asleep.
Despite being made specifically for children, the pacing caters to both adults and younger audiences alike. The script is genuinely pretty funny and its animation quality is top-notch. The expansive cast of the PAW Patrol family also gives Spin Master a multitude of options to choose who will be the start of the next film. After all, who would’ve expected to see Skye as the main character? Traditionally, it’s either Chase or Marshall that takes the lead, both in-universe and in real life, as the German Shepherd and Dalmatian pups are considered the two most popular characters in the franchise.
Nickelodeon is currently set to release a handful of movies between then and now, starting with Good Burger 2 in November 22 as well as a still-untitled animated Avatar: The Last Airbender film sequel featuring the GAang all grown up. A sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is in development as well.
