The Kingpin is making his return in Daredevil: Born Again. Actor Vincent D’Onofrio already has ideas for his character in the upcoming series, who is known to go big every chance he gets – and wanting his own Avengers Tower fits the bill.
Marvel left the fate of Avengers Tower ambiguous when the superhero team left for a bigger headquarters just outside of New York. Originally owned by Tony Stark and known as the Stark Tower, it was converted to the Avengers’ base of operations in The Avengers.
Tony Stark mentioned to Peter Parker that he sold the building to an unknown party. While the current owner of the Avengers Tower is unknown, D’Onofrio wants Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin to own the building.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, D’Onofrio was asked if Kingpin is the current occupant of the Avengers Tower. In typical Marvel fashion, the actor skirted around the question and gave a clever answer.
“I didn’t know I was sitting with a real journalist,” the actor said. I know that Vincent D’Onofrio would be interested in that if he could afford it, but unfortunately cannot. No, I don’t know. I heard that too.”
He adds, “That’s the first time I’ve heard of anything like that. I have no idea. Are you asking me if I think it would be really cool? Yeah, it’d be really cool. Totally. I would love to do that.” It is plausible for Kingpin to own the Avengers Tower in Daredevil: Born Again based on D’Onofrio’s answer. Fans will likely assume that the actor is hiding something as he doesn’t shut down the speculations.

In the Marvel comics, Stark sold the building to a company called Qeng Enterprises. Iron Man and the rest of the Avengers relocate to another tower built near Time Square. The head of Qeng Enterprises is revealed to be a variant of Kang the Conqueror.
Fans speculate that Kingpin would occupy the Avengers Tower to show that he is a big player in the future of the MCU. Making the former Avengers base the center of a criminal empire says a lot about the importance and influence of Kingpin in the future of the MCU.
We will likely find out the answer when the upcoming Daredevil TV series premieres. It is unclear whether Marvel is proceeding with the filming of the series as the Writers Guild of America strike is in full effect. The studio is reportedly continuing with the filming of Deadpool 3, so it is possible for the Daredevil series to still continue its production schedule amidst the strike.
Daredevil: Born Again is coming to Disney+ in 2024.
