While the basic premise of Pokemon is that they’re friendly creatures, in real life, you’ll want to stay away from a couple of them. Much more so when we’re talking about the living embodiment of a hypothetical creature that could only exist in heavily polluted toxic areas. But, one Pokemon fan isn’t just unafraid of a Koffing, they actually went out and made one.
u/thatsvile shared photos of their Koffing model on Reddit and, as one other Redditor put it simply, it’s a “HIDEOUS and GROTESQUE ABOMINATION.
The concept of realistic Pokemon has been proven to work, to some degree. The 2019 film, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, is widely considered one of the best video game movie adaptations after pulling in nearly half a million at the global box office.
But, did it ever occur to you that the live-action Pokemon film stayed away from the ones that would look genuinely scary in real life?
If you need a reason why, just take a look at the above fan recreation of Koffing. It’s admittedly cute in a horrific kind of way but it’s also just as nightmare-inducing. It doesn’t help that it has a pair of realistic eyes with a moist tongue. The green goo going out of one of its orifices also suggests that it could explode and poison everyone within the area at any time.

There’s very little chance that Koffing will make it to a live-action Pokemon film anytime soon, but who knows? A sequel to Detective Pikachu is reportedly in development, after all.
Given the positive reaction to this repulsive Koffing recreation, The Pokemon Company might consider adding the Poison-type Pokemon to the sequel.
Speaking of Pokemon, fans are concerned about a recent job listing that suggests that the company is looking into NFTs. Finally, the title and trailer for the new Pokemon series have finally been revealed.
