The DC Extended Universe might not be as cohesive as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but we shouldn’t forget that the characters share the same universe. For example, the Justice League appeared in the finale of Peacemaker. Now, someone from Peacemaker will appear in the upcoming DCEU film, Black Adam.

Although we’re aware of Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller and her involvement in Black Adam, a different character from The Suicide Squad will join him.

A new Black Adam BTS featurette shows Jennifer Holland’s Agent Emilia Harcourt standing next to Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate and Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman. This all but confirms that Black Adam will take place after the first season of Peacemaker.

As exciting as it is to see the DCEU have a crossover, we’re curious to find out what kind of role Harcourt will have in Black Adam. Most probably, Harcourt will act as a liaison between Waller and the Justice Society of America.

Johnson has made it clear that he expects Black Adam to be the first of many. The film’s connection to Peacemaker could pave the way for the reverse to happen as well after the lead star, John Cena, expressed his interest in a Black Adam appearance in an interview last year. Who knows? Harcourt and Waller might not be the only ones to make an appearance in Black Adam. For all that we know, Cena’s Pacemaker could return in Black Adam as well. It’s certainly possible considering that Peacemaker will start production on Season 2 soon.

On that note, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson keeps teasing that Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in Black Adam.

We’ll find out more about Black Adam’s connection to the rest of the DCEU when it finally hits theaters on October 21.
