A Hollywood leaker has stated that Henry Cavill will appear in the upcoming Black Adam film that stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the titular character. In the past, the Twitter user has also leaked information about other superhero movies, including providing a first look at Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
While there is no official announcement from Warner Bros. or DC Films, @MyTimeToShineH is corroborated by another well-known Hollywood insider who goes by the Twitter handle @DanielRPK. Also, another rumor about the character claims that Cavill’s suit in the film will be in line with what he wore in Man of Steel. However, it will feature brighter colors.

For some fans, the belief that Cavill will feature in Black Adam stems from Dwayne Johnson and Black Adam’s director Beau Flynn admitting their desire to give fans what they want. And since many DC fans want to see Black Adam and Superman have an epic fight, many believe Cavill will reprise his role for that purpose, if for nothing else.
Cavill had his first stint as Superman in the Zack Snyder-directed Man of Steel movie which Warner Bros. released in 2013. Three years later, Cavill reprised his role as Superman in the 2016 movie, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as the 2017 Justice League. While the movies grossed substantial sums, his performances generally had mixed reviews. However, many fans have expressed their desire to see him pick up the cape and feature as the character again.

When asked about Cavill’s Superman and whether the character will cross paths with Black Adam, Johnson did not respond. Instead, he chose to laud Cavill’s performance.
I will say this. I will say that Henry is a buddy and he is a phenomenal Superman. He is a phenomenal Superman and Henry Cavill is the Superman of our generation with respect to the other Supermans of the past. Every time I see him, we have some tequila and I say ‘This guy is Superman.’ My longtime business partner Dany Garcia has been a passionate advocate for Henry Cavill and his career for a very, very, very long time.
Black Adam will follow an antihero of the same name who gets his freedom after 5,000 years of imprisonment and tries to reconcile his idea of justice with that of the modern age. Black Adam was initially supposed to star opposite Shazam. However, Johnson convinced the studio hierarchy to make the movie a stand-alone.
Black Adam will be available in theaters from October 21. If all goes according to plan, it will be Johnson’s biggest opening weekend at the domestic box office. Given the actor has starred in several high grossing blockbuster movies, it will be an incredible feat if Black Adam pulls it off.
