The Umbrella Academy and Sparrow Academy meet in latest Season 3 photos

Unfortunately, the most important member of the new crew, Christopher, is not in the pictures.

After a romp through the '60s, Season 3 will take The Umbrella Academy to a different reality where they shouldn't exist.

It appears that the multiverse is coming to The Umbrella Academy as well.

After introducing the Sparrow Academy at the end of Season 2 in July 2020, the superhero team from an alternate timeline will face off against The Umbrella Academy in Season 3 and we have got the photos to show for this fated meeting.

The third season of The Umbrella Academy will bring the Hargreeves siblings to an alternate timeline where the enigmatic Reginald Hargreeves never adopted them. Instead, Reginald turned his attention toward a different group of super-powered siblings, which ends up becoming the Sparrow Academy. The “original” gifted family will now attempt to make sense of their new reality, where Justin Min’s Ben has risen through the ranks of their counterparts.

Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy is based on a graphic novel of the same name. However, the show has deviated from its source material several times and it appears that the third season will not be any different.

It will be interesting to see how much the third comic book series volume, Hotel Oblivion, will factor into the plot of Season 3, but Gerard Way has confirmed that the upcoming fourth volume will serve as the main plotline for Season 3 of the show.

The third season will be the first time that The Umbrella Academy's source material isn't available in print.

Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy will hit Netflix on June 22.

Speaking of Netflix, the streaming giant is letting go of some of its “less” popular shows in a bid to keep costs down as its stock value plummets. So far, Netflix has already canceled Space Force and Bright.
