Xbox confirms Forza Motorsport for June showcase

Microsoft will take center stage on June 11 with the Xbox Games Showcase followed by Starfield Direct on June 12.

The long wait for the green light is finally over for racing enthusiasts. Turn 10 Studios has confirmed that they'll reveal more about the highly anticipated Forza Motorsport reboot in the next few weeks.

Forza Motorsport is shaping up to be a special kind of game for the Xbox Series S and X.

Contrary to the open-world arcade-style racing of the Forza Horizon series, Forza Motorsport focuses on the more realistic aspects of racing, keying on intricate details to stay authentic to the experience.

Earlier this year, Forza Motorsport was shown off but we didn't get a release date for the game then. Ever since then, most of us have been waiting to know when they'll be able to get into the driver's seat and test their mettle against the world's best racers.

Now, we're about to find out when Forza Motorsport is coming out.

Forza Motorsport is part of the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11, a day before the Starfield Direct on June 12.

If Microsoft wants to stagger its biggest releases, Forza Motorsport is either coming out next month or July to make way for Starfield in September or it might need more fine-tuning and be released for the holiday season between October and December.

Forza Motorsport has the potential to move units for the Xbox Series S/X.

Forza Motorsport will give the beloved racing franchise a significant facelift. Turn 10 has presumably worked on this game since 2017 after skipping its "turn" to release a new title in 2020. Turn 10 appears to have taken its sweet time perfecting the game, spurred on by the moderate response to Forza Motorsport 7.

To help hype the upcoming showcase, Turn 10 has dropped the cover photo for Forza Motorsport, which features two cars: the 2023 No. 01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R and the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray.

Both vehicles signify Forza Motorsport''s commitment to bringing gamers nothing but the best racing experience. The Cadillac V-Series.R, in particular, is a champion in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Grand Touring Prototype class and was specifically designed for hardcore racing. On the other hand, the E-Ray is Corvette's first electric automobile that's crafted to keep up with traditional race cars on the track.

Keep in mind that these two are just the cover cars. Forza Motorsport still has a plethora of vehicles that will be featured.

Excited gamers can get an "up-close look at the cars" at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11 with a comprehensive walk-through of the single-player campaign on June 13.

Forza Motorsport is part of a handful of exclusives that are finally coming to the Xbox Series S/X this year.

At a time when developers usually highlight the multiplayer aspects of their games, this emphasis on the single-player is a sign that Turn 10 Studios and Xbox have something special planned for Forza Motorsport.
