Is the WWE planning a feud between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins?

Brock Lesnar is a free agent who the WWE has used effectively to feud against anyone from Roman Reigns to Bobby Lashley and Cody Rhodes.

It would be disappointing to see Seth Rollins' run as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion cut short after just a few months.

On the back of a widely successful Night of Champions event at the Jeddah Superdome where Seth Rollins captured the WWE World Heavyweight Title by pinning AJ Styles, wrestling enthusiasts are currently left with many questions. Notably, many are curious to see what's next for the newly crowned champion, and more importantly, what's the future for Brock Lesnar once his feud with Cody Rhodes is inevitably over?

The Wrestling Observer Radio (via Ringside News) provides insights into these questions with the seasoned analyst, Dave Meltzer, shedding light on what the WWE is planning to do with Rollins as the newest face of Monday Night RAW.

According to Meltzer, even after Lesnar took out Rhodes at Night of Champions, the WWE doesn't intend for him to feud with Rollins at all just yet.

If we're being honest, it's still far too early for the rivalry between Rhodes and Lesnar to end. But, admittedly, the WWE might have already telegraphed the result after bringing their head-to-head tally to 1-1. So, that's a factor it could consider by swerving Lesnar towards Rollins' way, leaving the conclusion between Rhodes and Lesnar up in the air until some time in the future.

Cody Rhodes remains just as over with fans as he ever has been but the conclusion to his redemption arc is starting to become obvious.

For now, it's safe to assume that Rhodes vs. Lesnar is a sure-fire trilogy after The American Nightmare called out The Beast Incarnate for a deciding bout.

It's presumed the third match between Lesnar and Rhodes could happen at the Money in the Bank in July or SummerSlam in August.

Although if you ask us, our bet is on the latter. This lets WWE redo what's presumed to have been the original plans for the babyface Rhodes to be built up as the No. 1 contender for Reigns' title belts all the way through Royal Rumble until WrestleMania.

But, what about Rollins? The consensus is for The Visionary to feud against Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior's "removal" from MITB implies this isn't happening as well, but who knows? The WWE can always change plans mid-way and slowly build up a McIntyre vs. Rollins feud. We're pretty sure fans would love to see McIntyre get his dues after the disappointing results of his attempt to usurp Roman Reigns last year.

If you ask Meltzer though, a Rollins-Priest feud is possible, although Finn Balor is just as compelling of a choice.

Kudos to Brock Lesnar for selling all the feuds the WWE has had in store for him for over a year.

The WWE has an embarrassment of riches in terms of storylines that it can pursue going forward. As fans wait to see how these narratives unfold, each passing day makes fans want to look forward to each and every episode of Monday Night RAW. Lesnar might not be moving into the title picture soon, but his upcoming third match with Rhodes should make for an explosive encounter, regardless of when it happens.

As for Rollins, it doesn't matter which direction the WWE chooses - it's clear that exciting times lie ahead for wrestling fans.
