With so many Witcher projects currently in development, The Molasses Flood, CD Projekt Red's game development studio, has its hands full. But, it also means that the studio is more susceptible to leaks.

One of the most interesting rumors making the rounds online is the possibility that the project the studio is working on will feature a co-op mode. Titled Project Sirius, the unnamed Witcher title is reportedly different from past productions, offering multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience that includes a campaign with quests and a story.
However, reddit user Awkward 96 highlighted some links to job listings at CDPR that imply that the game will include co-op play. Among the listed open positions are: Senior Multiplayer Designer, Senior Combat Designer, Narrative DIrector, and Technical Game Designer.
Some of the key qualifications required for the position of Senior Multiplayer Designer include:
- Experience with co-op multiplayer design (applicants with experience prototyping in Unreal Engine on multiplayer Co-Op/PvE titles gain an advantage)
- Highly passionate about multiplayer games and systems (game modes, class design, player progression, social activities, etc.)
If we consider Drake Hollow, a survival adventure game developed by The Molasses Flood that features online co-op mode, then we can assume that they're working on a co-op feature for Project Sirius. Furthermore, CDPR has experience with online games such as Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, a free-to-play digital collectible card game.
CDPR will be desperate to get it right this time around after their disastrous launch of the controversial RPG, Cyberpunk 2077. Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, fans can look forward to the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC. The paid expansion pack will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 sometime this year.
