The best Cyberpunk 2077 sniper rifle is whatever you have available.
Seriously. In Cyberpunk 2077, sniper rifles are massively overpowered. Although they require some precise aiming for maximum damage, if you do it correctly, you'll be able to take out the biggest baddies with just a single bullet.
What Is the Best Cyberpunk 2077 Sniper Rifle?
Cyberpunk 2077 only has three different sniper rifles for players to get and choose from: SPT32 Grad, Nekomata, and Ashura.
All three are fairly capable of taking out anyone you want.
The SPT32 Grad, in particular, has an iconic version that's given to you as a reward after completing a certain side quest later on in the game.
However, of these three, we'll have to give the proverbial trophy to the Ashura.
The ASHURA Smart Sniper Rifle is an AI-assisted weapon that's available as early as in the prologue, which means that it could give you a significant edge and could last you the entirety of the game.
How to Get the ASHURA Smart Sniper Rifle
The ASHURA Smart Sniper rifle might be available early on in the game, but it's easy to miss it if you don't know that it's there.
During the mission, "The Pickup", just go to the Maelstrom gang headquarters where your guy, "Royce", will be waiting for you to pick up the package but will ask you to pay double or else.
Now, you have two choices: pay double so you can pick-up the package or loot the package over the dead bodies of Royce's gang members.
The latter is what you should do to get your hands on the ASHURA smart sniper rifle.
You'll find the sniper rifle just inside a white box in Royce's office.
However, just because you can get your hands on the weapon doesn't mean that you'll be able to use it already. You'll need to be at least level 4 to do that.
Not to mention, you won't be able to get the most out of this powerful sniper rifle until you invest enough in your "Reflexes" and "Cool" stat attribute, as well as the associated skills.
You'll also want to have the Smart Link cyberwar installed so you can utilize the smart-targeting system.
