Hogwarts Legacy is one of the first AAA multiplatform games coming out this year. As expected, all eyes are on the open-world Harry Potter RPG. But, something that's confusing fans at the moment is the release date of the game, specifically, when the early access will start.
The confusion started after extensive gameplay footage of Hogwarts Legacy found its way online over the weekend. This prompted questions about whether Hogwarts Legacy had leaked online before its release date on February 10. After all, it's not like this didn't happen to God of War: Ragnarok last year.
The good news is that Hogwarts Legacy didn't leak - a handful of individuals simply got a chance to play the game early through official means.

While the late embargo lift for the game is worrying, the early previews suggest that Harry Potter fans will be happy with what they're getting.

Going back to the topic of public demos, most appeared to enjoy what they saw of Hogwarts Legacy. It's clear Avalanche Software spent a lot of time meticulously crafting the tiny details that fans of the Wizarding World will notice as soon as they step into the game.
From the bustling open grounds of Hogwarts to the talking paintings lined up in the corridors, as well as the ghosts floating about and the students that are busy with their own lives, Hogwarts Legacy feels very much like an immersive sim set in a world where wizards and magic are true.
It'll be interesting to see if the actual reviews of Hogwarts Legacy will have the same positive things to say about the game.
The review embargo on Hogwarts Legacy will lift on February 6, Monday.
