Ortega starred in a lead role as Wednesday Addams in the new hit Tim Burton Netflix series called Wednesday. The show gained a massive audience following Ortega's staggering dance performance in one of the scenes from the show that went viral on social media.
Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe, co-stars opposite Jenna Ortega as her love interest on Wednesday, and their chemistry has been well-received by the audience. The positive feedback on their on-screen chemistry has led to them appearing together on another rom-com set to release in the future.
According to Deadline, Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes Whites are taking their romantic venture into a new romantic comedy film, Winter Spring Summer or Fall. Written by Dan Schoffer and directed by Tiffany Paulsen, the film is described as "the story follows two teens on the cusp of adulthood who meet and fall in love over four significant days of the year."
Dan Schoffer and Tiffany Paulsen are both talented individuals who have previously worked on really successful projects. Paulsen has previously written Holidate and a recent Netflix rom-com About Fate.
Joining Schoffer and Paulsen is Motion Picture Corporation of America's (MPCA) Brad Krevoy, who will help produce the film with Josh Shader and David Wulf. MPCA's Krevoy praises both Ortega and White in the following statement:
"We're excited to be further diversifying MPCA's robust slate with Winter Spring Summer or Fall. Jenna is enormously talented as an actor and producer, and we know both she and Percy will bring heartfelt depth to their roles, and that along with Tiffany's experience with character, and her vision for this film, will only enhance the brilliant script from Dan."
MPCA is already famous for producing successful rom-coms, including some notable ones such as Netflix's Falling for Christmas and The Princess Switch trilogy. While there is no official release date for the exciting rom-com, rest assured the film is in good hands.
