Everything we know about the next Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC fighter
By Ray Ampoloquio September 7, 2021
Fans are getting desperate now that only one fighter spot in Super Smash Bros Ultimate remains.
There's a ton of speculation about who the next Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC fighter is.
Because of the chatter, it's become difficult to separate what is mere hearsay from reality.
This is exactly why we've decided to try and clear things up to prevent further confusion.
There's no clear date when Nintendo will announce the next (and possibly final) fighter to hit its hit brawler.
However, many fans believe that it will happen soon.
The main reason for this is that Nintendo has held a Nintendo Direct showcase every September for the past few years.
There's also the timely maintenance scheduled by Monolith Soft on September 8.
Either way, we know for sure that the final Super Smash Bros DLC character is going to be announced by the end of 2021.
One particularly interesting rumor suggests that Nintendo is planning on dropping three fighters instead of one.
The gist of it is that Nintendo originally announced that Smash Bros. Ultimate roster will have 84 fighters.
The game's latest fighter, Kazuya, was its 81st.
Furthermore, the same rumor is suggesting that the next fighter/s are the starters from Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
In any case, what's sure is that Nintendo has its work cut out for itself with the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character.
Only time will tell if Nintendo can prove that it can live up to its own hype.
