Activision is reportedly working on Warzone 2

Activision has milked the Call of Duty franchise for the better part of the past two decades.

However, the franchise is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Because of Warzone's success, it was only natural for Activision to continue supporting the game for as long as possible.

Now, it appears that Activision plans on releasing a Warzone sequel within the next few years.

After Microsoft acquired Activision, questions immediately arose about the future of Call of Duty.

So far, Phil Spencer has noted that he wants to "keep Call of Duty on PlayStation".

A new report suggests that at least three more Call of Duty games will be available on the PlayStation platform in the next few years.

The report notes that one of these games will be a sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone for the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

Warzone hasn't exactly shown signs of aging yet, and it will probably be a while until that happens.

More importantly, we doubt that Warzone 2 will be released until Sony and Microsoft can address the current shortage of the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
