When it comes to video game sequels, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is right up there as the most anticipated of all time.
However, several fans felt disappointed after finding out that the game won't come until 2023.
Now, Tony Todd just explained why Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is taking so long.
Horror movie buffs will know full well who Tony Todd is.
Tony Todd is a horror genre staple that first made a name for himself in 1990's Night of the Living Dead.
He also stars as the titular antagonist in all four Candyman films.
Todd's brief roles in the Final Destination series is also something that fans look forward to seeing.
With his role in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, fans are expecting a lot.
Todd will be the voice of Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man sequel.
In addition to confirming that this is true, Todd also provided an explanation why Marvel's Spider-Man 2 isn't releasing until 2023.
The actor described Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as "massive", which it should be.
Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the best superhero games of all time.
The sequel, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, isn't too far behind either.
The only logical step for Insomniac to take was to make Marvel's Spider-Man 2 bigger, figuratively and literally.
Only time will tell if Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will live up to expectations.
The good news is that we know what Insomniac Games is capable of when allowed to make a game exclusively for the PS5.
For now, all fans can do is to wait for more news.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 wasn't the only Insomniac games announced at Sony's recent PlayStation Showcase.
Insomniac is also developing Marvel's Wolverine, a standalone game featuring the titular Marvel superhero.
