Valve denies report of a new Half-Life game in development

Half-Life is Valve's magnum opus and is literally what helped turn Valve into the massive private company that it is today.

For such a critically acclaimed and commercially successful franchise, Valve also hasn't taken advantage of Half-Life's popular as much as it should.

It took Valve more than a decade from Half-Life 2 and its expansions to release Half-Life: Alyx.

Even when the VR title was a success, Valve still declined to confirm that it was going to work on new Half-Life games again.

Fast forward to today and Valve just "denied" the reports made by Tyler McVicker that claims that there are several Half-Life-related projects in development over at Valve.

According to Valve, audiences will want to view McVicker's report "with a healthy dose of skepticism."

The statement describes Tyler as a "passionate gamer" but goes on to explain that he "has no inside information about what goes on at Valve."

It definitely appears that Valve is putting most of their efforts towards the Steam Deck at the moment.
