Ubisoft announces Assassin's Creed Infinity, a live-service game

Ubisoft continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be an Assassin's Creed game.

The franchise made a name for itself in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Now, it seems like Ubisoft wants to change things again with Assassin's Creed Infinity.

Assassin's Creed Infinity is the codename for Ubisoft's "upcoming, early in-development project".

Bloomberg was the first to report on the details about Assassin's Creed Infinity on Wednesday, July 7.

A Ubisoft spokesperson said that the goal is to "exceed the expectations of fans who have been asking for a more cohesive approach."

Infinity is looking to be like the Grand Theft Auto Online for the Assassin's Creed games.

We shouldn't expect Infinity to release anytime soon.

At the moment, Ubisoft is busy providing extended post-launch support for Valhalla.
