Tony Hawk says that Vicarious was working on a Pro Skater 3 + 4 Remake before the Blizzard merger

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is widely considered one of the best remakes of all time.

The 2020 remake sold very well and led to the chatter of more remakes of the other games in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise.

However, the studio never got the chance to go back to the popular skateboarding sim.

As it turns out though, there is an alternative universe out there where Vicarious Visions did not get merged.

In this reality, Vicarious got a chance to work on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, as revealed by the series' namesake.

Hawk explained that Activision did try and ask around to see if anyone wanted to take over the project after the Vicarious merge but passed after not being satisfied with what they heard.

Hawk ended his statement about the future of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remakes by hinting that he's not closing the doors on future attempts.
